Its geographical location naturally places “La Flèche” at the crossroads of major land navigation routes. From the Middle Ages, La Flèche notably became this obligatory passage of the “royal road” connecting Paris to the west of France, towards the “Duché de Bretagne”.
Throughout its history, La Flèche retains the fervent attachment it has aroused among emblematic characters. Guillaume Fouquet de la Varenne, Henri IV and Marie de Médicis not only contributed to the influence of La Flèche but also allowed it to enter the great book of the History of France.
